Old Salmon Falls Bridge - 04/14/2014

Posted by

This photo is about what you don't see, the old Salmon Falls bridge. I went to this area on Monday, hoping to get one more shot of the bridge before it disappeared. I was a little late, it's submerged already (it's located just left of center in the upper water area). I checked the data for the Folsom Lake water level and on Monday it was at 52% full. However, it is still below the historical average of 75% for this date. What I now know is that the old bridge is submerged when the lake water level is at about 50% or greater.

It's good to see it's under water. I hope it stays that way.

A wonderful follow up shot Bill! Glad to see that your water shortage problems seem to be on their way to being resolved! ;-)

I like the layering in this image. Foreground to water to background to sky. Good job!
