Folsom Lake 013114 - 01

Posted by
Bill Brown (California, United States) on 10 February 2014 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Panoramic view of Folsom Lake from Folsom Point captured on 1-31-2014. Hopefully the rains from the past weekend have made the situation a little better.

Note: The bottom half of this image should be all water.

Gorgeous panoramic image! The colors are beautiful! I hope that it keeps raining for you!

@Elaine Hancock: Thanks Elaine! We got a good dose of rain. It rained almost continuously from last Friday until early Monday morning. It rained enough to almost make up for the rain we did not get in December but we are still way below normal.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

Beautiful browns and blues but, it'll be nice when it's all mainly blues.

@Steve Rice: That will be a beautiful sight, Steve. They reported this evening that the rain over this past weekend raised the lake level 18 feet, but it's still just over 20% capacity. Which means we could use three to four more weekend like this.

This is a sad level of water, but otherwise a beautiful panoramic photo.
