Great sense of the freedom of open space . . I saw somewhere that the wettest month is August with over half-inch of rain expected !

@Ronnie 2¢: The area does not get a lot of rain but I checked out and you are correct, August is the wettest month. It is interesting that August is also one of the hottest months, only July is hotter.

@Denny Jump Photo: Happy to be able to lift your spirits Denny. Sometimes work gets that way, so hang tight until things lighten up. Sadly, I had not been back to Joshua Tree since we left the area over 25 years ago. We have been to Palm Springs a couple times previously but did not make it there. This time vowed not to leave Palm Springs without paying a visit to the park. I only spent one half day there but I would recommend to anyone going the first time to plan on a two day visit.
