Going Retro

Posted by Bill Brown (California, United States) on 1 May 2013 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

I've had a bunch of film in the freezer for a number of years and decided it was about time to try to deplete the inventory. As you can see, I even have a leftover roll of Kodachrome. Of course it's just a collector's item now since there is no place to process it. A few weeks ago I dusted off my collection of 35mm camera gear and began shooting. I've already processed some of the film and will be scanning some of the negatives and posting images over the next few weeks.

Ah, what memories this brings back . . all my old stuff has 'Pentax' writ large on it but the feelings are the same. And 'Kodak' - how did they manage to need file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after that illustrious past ?!

Oh the good ole days. I still have my old Minolta like the one in the middle in the back! I remember taking a class in college on developing film (30 years ago). I loved it!
