The Patriots Jet Team is the premiere civilian-owned jet aerobatic team in America. They have dazzled millions of spectators throughout the country performing at a variety of air shows, sporting and corporate events. Their performance is very similar to the Air Force THUNDERBIRDS or the Nave BLUE ANGLES. In fact, two of the team members are formal Thunderbird pilots.

They fly modified L-39 Jets. The Aero L-39 Albatros is a high-performance jet trainer aircraft developed in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s.

Side note: A L-39 was used in the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, where the James Bond character steals the aircraft.

This ends the Capital Airshow series. Tomorrow back to landscapes.

@Iknow: Thanks for your comments! You are correct, you need to be good at panning to capture thes fast moving aircraft. I have to admit I did miss a few shots because the autofocus would not lock-in in time to get the shot.
