Reflecting Pool & Washington Monument

Exploring the National Mall in the US Capital, Washington, DC. This shot depicts the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool with the Washington Monument in the background. The reflecting pool is approximately 2029 feet (618 m) long and 167 feet (51 m) wide. It is 18 inches (46 cm) deep on the sides and 30 inches (76 cm) in the center. The Washington Monument is the tallest structure in Washington, DC. It is made of marble, granite and sandstone and stands 555 feet 5 1/8 inches tall (169.3 m)

Great scene! I was there a month ago and all of these ducks were congregated together in the middle and the pool was filled with dirty leaves, so I couldn't see the Washington Monument reflection! I'm glad you were able to capture a "cleaner" image. :)
